Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2025

bevMetrix (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and payment details (processed securely through Stripe — we never store card numbers).
  • Inventory data: All product names, quantities, par levels, costs, and related records you enter are stored in your account and are yours.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymized logs of feature usage (pages visited, actions taken) to improve the product. We do not sell this data.
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address are collected for security and debugging purposes.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and maintain your bevMetrix account and provide the services you pay for.
  • To process payments and send billing-related communications.
  • To send product updates, feature announcements, and support messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
  • To diagnose bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Data Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information or inventory data to third parties.
  • We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, Vercel for infrastructure). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of bevMetrix, our users, or the public.

Data Retention

  • We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active.
  • If you cancel your account, we will delete your data within 90 days unless you request earlier deletion or we are required to retain it by law.
  • You can request a full export of your data at any time by contacting support.

Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.
  • We conduct periodic security reviews. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.

Cookies

  • We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to store authentication tokens.
  • We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
  • You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the app may not function correctly without them.

Your Rights

  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time.
  • California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and to opt out of data sale (we do not sell data).
  • EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@bevmetrix.com.
